Newquay Gets Louder

We'll be making some loud noises on Saturday 19th April when we fire up the BAC 1-11 to give her engines a bit of exercise. Squadron Leader Colin Froude will arrive during late morning, and we expect him to start disturbing the peace around midday.

Although the terms of our contract mean that we can't fly the 1-11, she arrived with us as an airworthy aircraft, so we see it as part of our responsibility to keep her in good condition. Part of the regime required to do so is to run her engines from time to time. And it's a great excuse for a bit of spectacle and a lot of noise! It's well worth trying to be there to see her flex her muscles.

Dear Jem, Any News of Canberra WK163 flying into St Mawgan yet? I`m visiting your base on the 30th April with the SOFFAAM from Yeovilton ,Somerset and would dearly like to see it again. Very Best Wishes for the coming season. Regards Brian Banbury

Still a long way away I'm afraid Brian, though we now have engines for her and she's on the road to recovery. The T4 will be there though, so make sure you ask to be taken behind the ropes to have a look inside the cockpit.
