Union Jack Dak

Big surprise on Monday to see this beauty gracing the tarmac at Coventry. She arrived at half an hour's notice on Saturday, having diverted to us at the end of her transatlantic flight from Connecticut. C-47 N74589 ( C-47A-40-DL 42-24064) is over here to take part in several of the D-Day commemorative activities that are planned over the coming weeks.

Our own John Dodd will be displaying her later this month in a 4/5 ship DC-3 formation at Duxford.

We're not sure at present how long she'll be with us, but seeing her here is too good an opportunity to miss. Remember our Coventry Airbase is open every weekend with free entry. Catch her before she's gone!
