Great day out for kids

Loving to Learn

Kids love to learn, especially when the subject's exciting and involving. So Classic Air force is intended to be fun, first and foremost. We're working hard to add more for the kids to do, with more sit-in cockpits arriving, a spy mission for older children, ball pool and more.  It's still work in progress, so please do contact us to find out the latest.

Fly With the Arrows

Our flight simulator takes you on a fully-immersive flight of a lifetime - without leaving the ground!  We change the program several times a day, so try it again and again for a new experience. As well as thrilling flights like joining the Red Arrows, or flying a strike exercise in a Harrier or Tornado, there are exciting fairground rides and computer-generated films.

Great day out for kids

Good Food in Good Company

Captain Mawgan's Café is cosy and friendly, with lots of locally-sourced food, comfy seats and excellent coffee.  On warmer days you can sit outside and take in the comings and goings on the airfield.

Disabled access

Access All Areas

Disabled access is fundamental to Classic Air Force. It's our aim that you should enjoy your visit just as much, whatever your level of mobility. That's a big challenge, and we wouldn't claim that we always get it right, but we're always looking to improve.

If you find something - anything - that we could improve, we hope you'll be kind enough to tell us so that we can make your next visit even more enjoyable.

Classic Air Force Cinema

Let's Take in a Movie

Our purpose-built cinema seats 60 people. We run regular showings of aviation documentaries, historic films and our own library of aviation events and milestones.

The film programme changes regularly, so there should be a new set of choices for you on your next visit.  Check the day's timetable when you arrive so that you can schedule in your favourites.

Retail Therapy

We wanted our shop to be more than just a place to buy souvenirs. So as well as the pocket-money trinkets like pencils, chuck gliders and key-rings, you'll also find a fascinating range of aviation-related books. If aero-modelling is your thing, then you'll like our collection of flying and static models, some of which are exclusive to Classic Air Force.
